We mentioned a few days ago the rumored move by Apple to using LED-powered LCDs, with Fujitsu being one of the few companies already using this technology. Previously only available in Japan, Fujitsu is now bringing their LED notebook to the US in the form of the 10.6-inch LifeBook P7230.
CrunchGear has an interesting iPhone FAQ based on a conversation they had with some Cingular employees.
Onecompare.com looks at where Apple got the multi-touch technology found in the iPhone.

Does anyone know if it eagerly awaited iPhone will have good phone quality? I have a Treo 650 with Verizon and the service is TERRIBLE. I am told by their representatives that I would get better phone service if I went to a “basic” phone that did not have the features of the Treo. But since my husband has the “basic” model and his service is terrible too…I just wondered…Anyone know?
Hi Vicki,
Have you talked to friends or family in your area with Verizon to see if the quality is just generally bad in your area? You could even hang around a Verizon store or kiosk to see if you’re hearing a lot of people complaining. Do you notice call quality improving when you travel? These are things you could consider to see if the issue is with your phone or the service provider in your area.
As for the iPhone, no one can say yet what the call quality will be, but you could at least ask Cingular customers in your area how the reception is to make sure that at least the network is good.
