Every time we think we’ve seen it all, a company comes out with a bag or other accessory that comes out of left field. This time, the surprise is in the form of the MacCover, a felt sleeve for your MacBook or MacBook Pro. The company touts the benefits of felt: flame retardant, shock absorbing, resilient, and environmentally friendly, plus they offer the felt in seven colors, some of them quite vibrant. The 3mm-thick sleeves are made by hand in Belgium and also have quite a unique latching mechanism using a leather strap and magnet. The MacCover is available now for all Apple portables at a cost of €39.95.
