iPhone surveys get it wrong

There have been a handful of surveys making the rounds since the iPhone’s announcement, some of them offering statistical evidence that bodes well for the iPhone, some with numbers that aren’t so positive. Blogger Jeff Matthews gives these surveys some interesting consideration, wondering if the analysts aren’t sometimes asking the wrong questions. In particular, some analysts are looking to iPod owners as the big market for the iPhone, instead of paying attention to owners of smartphones and whether they’d be willing to switch. There’s also a survey open to response from readers asking the questions that the blogger believes should be asked.
