MyTreo.net has news about a hiring by Palm, this time with former Apple software engineer and Pixo founder Paul Mercer. Mercer and Pixo were apparently instrumental in helping the creation of the iPod user interface.

It’ll be interesting to see if there is a fight over talent between the big smartphone makers and what Palm produces with the help of some siphoned talent.
