Laptop bag-maker Tom Bihn sent us word of a new offering:

SEATTLE, WA — March 14th, 2007 — TOM BIHN, a company that designs
and manufactures laptop bags, backpacks, messenger bags and briefcases
in its Seattle, Washington factory has introduced the Ego, a new
mid-size messenger bag designed to fit the 13″ MacBook and 15.4″ MacBook
Pro laptops with the optional Brain Cell hard-sided laptop case. Among
the unique features of the Ego is an interchangeable front stripe
available in over 24 different colors and fabrics that allows the user
to continually customize the look of their bag.

The Ego was designed by Tom Bihn and is manufactured by the
highly-skilled sewing crew in TOM BIHN Seattle, Washington production
factory, where all TOM BIHN bags are made.

On the front flap of the Ego is an interchangeable strip of fabric
available in over 24 different colors and materials that allows you to
customize the color combination of your bag. Strip colors include
Reflective, Cork, Wasabi, Kelly, Deep Blue, and Crimson. Limited edition
strips are currently available in Mod Italian, Yellow Vinyl, Gold
Bamboo, and Crimson Bamboo, with other colors and materials to be added
in the future.

Should one choose to use the Ego as a laptop messenger bag, the main
compartment features removable Annex clips designed to securely connect
our Brain Cell hard-sided laptop case inside the bag. The Brain Cell is
available in nine different sizes to fit a wide range of laptops. Three
sizes are designed specifically to fit the Apple MacBook and MacBook Pro
laptops. The Brain Cell provides the ultimate in laptop protection with
soft, thick foam padding, hard, corrugated plastic walls, and a

The Ego is constructed out of the same high-quality materials used in
all TOM BIHN bags, including YKK splash-proof zippers, Duraflex Warrior
Buckles, easy-to-grab zipper pulls, and U.S-made Ballistic Nylon and
Cordura. When using the Ego, one will discover the thoughtful details
standard on TOM BIHN designs: extra places to hook the included key
snap, plenty of spots for pens, and water bottle pockets that can be
cinched down when not in use.
