Today LapWorks announced its first desktop-only stand for notebook computers – the sleek Aluminum Desktop Stand.

The portable Aluminum Desktop Stand elevates PC and Mac notebooks to 1) improve screen viewing, 2) improve typing ergonomics, and 3) cool a laptop up to 23% to extend its life.

The sturdy laptop stand has 6 easy-to-adjust elevated positions. The lower 3 allow for cooling and improved ergonomics while using the laptop’s own keyboard. The 3 steeper inclines raise the screen closer to eye level to create an ergonomically-sound desktop workstation when using a separate keyboard.

The $69.95 laptop stand is available from LapWorks at an introductory price of $59.95 until May 31.

Constructed of heat-dissipating brushed-aluminum, the sturdy stand is also portable, folding flat and thin (12 x 9.5 x 3/8 inches) for easy storage in a computer bag. It also includes non-skid rubber pads to grip the laptop, a built-in turntable for 360 degree rotation and screen-sharing, and carries a one-year warranty.
