German efficiency comes to iPhone
One of the oft-discussed elements of the iPhone has been the sources of its components. While many of the chipset suppliers have been known for some time, it’s only coming out now that Germany-touchscreen producer Balda has likely been tapped for the job. Apple isn’t the only customer of Balda, with major players like Nokia, Motorola, and Sony Ericsson also partnered with them. Considering Balda was recently best known for making mobile phone cases, this is quite a big deal for the company, and considering how many companies are relying on them, let’s hope they’re up to the task.
