Higher Ground offers sleeve-bag crossover for MacBook, MacBook Pro

Our friends over at Higher Ground sent us some information to pass along on their latest additions to their Shuttle line of sleeve-bag crossovers, with new models for the MacBook and 15-inch MacBook Pro:

The Higher Ground Shuttle provides the convenience of a compact sleeve with the protection (padded perimeter frame and stiffeners on all six sides) of a typically much larger case. Add the ability to use the computer while still in the case and you have the ultimate cafe cruiser. The non-slip underside and built-in riser pads keep both your lap and the computer cooler. Convenient storage for your power brick, cords and a few accessories is also provided, which is often lacking in sleeve type solutions. CDs and DVDs are accommodated by a storage panel located behind the computer screen when open. The versatility doesn’t end here. You can carry the bag virtually any way you wish by using the provided shoulder strap, comfortable rubberized handle or the optional mesh backpack harness ($9.95). Tired of the same old black bags? The Shuttle is available in royal blue, wasabi green, red, hot pink and of course black for the stealth minimalist or less adventurous. At only $39.95, it’s a tough, well-thought-out case at a value that’s hard to beat. Elegant simplicity is combined with road warrior protection to provide everything you need in a compact case and nothing more. A 15″ version is also available for MacBook Pro users ($49.95).

If you’re interested in our take on the Higher Ground Shuttle, we’ve reviewed the 12-inch model with a PowerBook G4, though Higher Ground VP Mark Zadvinskis has told us these new models fit the MacBook and MacBook Pro like a glove.
