A blog on ZDNet has a fascinating look at what goes into battery life in laptops and the potential of solid state disks. Very interesting stuff for those of us who are interested in what goes into determining battery life, where gains can be made, and the limitations.
If you’re wanting to replace the hard drive in your MacBook Pro but don’t want to fly blind, ExtremeTech has some instructions so that you won’t have any screws left over when you’re done (though a few leftover parts never hurt anyone, just streamlines the computer).
