FCC gives iPhone the thumbs up

Everyone can finally breathe a sigh of relief: the FCC has given approval to the iPhone. All of those who expected the FCC to deny the iPhone the right to operate in the United States and force it to go on the lamb overseas, your fears were unwarranted. No, this isn’t really that big of news, but if we’d heard this a couple days ago, we possibly could have avoided the whole Engadget fiasco. As it stands, we at least know the iPhone has to be right around the corner if the FCC is giving the green light.
