The Seattle Times has a fascinating interview with Glenn Lurie, AT&T’s president of national distribution, on the iPhone, and he had some interesting previously-unknown details to share. When asked what his favorite feature of the iPhone is, Lurie answered “It’s a pretty incredible browsing environment. That’s the first part that I think will blow people away.” Other notable comments: “…the touch screen is phenomenal, this touch screen is like nothing you’ve ever used…” and perhaps most intriguingly “…you have the widgets, some of the Google applications that are coming…”. Perhaps we’re seeing the true fruits of the Google Phone in the iPhone Google widgets?
