256GB solid-state hard drive takes capacity crown
We are, admittedly, somewhat infatuated with the idea of replacing our notebooks’ conventional hard drives with drives of the solid state variety. Still, how can you not get excited at news of a 256GB 2.5-inch SATA solid-state drive? The new model from PQI is four times as big as their previous-high of 64GB. Another new offering from PQI is a 32GB ExpressCard/34 drive for MacBook Pros.
These products so new that it doesn’t look like they’re listed with the rest of their lineup yet, but they should be available soon. Fingers crossed that mere mortals can afford the likes of this stuff.
