AT&T COO: iPhone expectations too low
In some rather–to be completely honest–ballsy news, AT&T COO (and soon CEO) Randall Stephenson told attendees at an investor conference: “I don’t know what your expectations are for the iPhone, but I would tell you they’re probably too low at this point.”
It’s worth saying that this doesn’t necessarily mean we should be expecting Apple to exceed the 10 million iPhones they hope to sell in 2008, but could simply mean AT&T expects to do better business in terms of length or level of service agreements sold. Still, it sounds like neither Apple nor AT&T are exactly shaking in fear at the Foleo, Curve, Upstage, or other rivals.
