Third-party iPhone apps get closer to reality

At this week’s All Thing’s Digital Conference–organized by the Wall Street Journal–Steve Jobs has been making some waves, first with the announcement that the Apple TV is now available with a larger hard drive and YouTube playback, and now with the implied announcement of third-party development for the iPhone.
When asked about third-party applications for the iPhone, Jobs said: “We would like to solve this problem and if you could just be a little more patient with us, we’ll do it.” Sounds like it’s only a matter of time to us.
