3 million iPhones ready at launch
If you’ve been sweating how many old women you’ll have to trample to get an iPhone on June 29, BusinessWeek has an interesting rumor in a recent article:
In units built and shipped, the iPhone launch will dwarf anything Apple has attempted. It plans to have 3 million iPhones ready for sale on June 29, two sources say. (Apple won’t comment.)
Considering that a lot of analysts expected Apple to sell 3 million iPhones in all of 2007, it’s going to be exciting to see who was too optimistic or pessimistic in their sales expectations. We wouldn’t be surprised to see Apple clear out that many iPhones pretty quick, though.

I’m just wondering how the staff at the Apple stores are going to feel dealing with all those lines and fans. It will probably be like christmas in June!
