Apple sued over iPhone battery

We’d been holding off on this one, because we don’t want to encourage ridiculous lawsuits, but Ars Technica has a hilarious and witty (and hilariously witty) summary of the iPhone lawsuit. The complaintiff thinks Apple misled consumers by not supplying adequate information on the battery, both with regards to replacement and life span, alleging that the iPhone battery requires annual replacement. Gizmodo has scans of the lawsuit documents.

For those of us who have been Apple users for a few years, we know that these class-action lawsuits never result in much of a windfall for consumers, but we might score some free AppleWorks discs if we play our cards right.
