Everything You Wanted to Know About the iOpener

Cables

First, cables are being made by Dan Guisinger, (DanMN101 on EFnet #i-opener-linux) who is located in Minnesota. He's charging $18 for him to make you a custom IDE cable that will allow you to hook up a 2.5" laptop hard drive to the iopener internally. The cost is so high because the cost of the connectors at each end of the cable is a high, fixed price. For ease of payment, he's using PayPal. Go to that site, sign up using his referrer, which is his email address: danrg@mn.mediaone.net. He will then give you a $5 discount, so only send $13 once you have a credit card on file with PayPal.com. Put your address in the comments field of the 'send payment' form, and you've got your IDE cable for $13, if you refer him when signing up, $18 if not. He'll be shipping the first cables at the end of this week.
